I came across this quote (again) this week.
It's not surprising, as my friend and colleague Jane Clapp is in the middle of her exams in her Jungian Analysis training, that I might be thinking about Jung and what he had to say about life. In these words I see the direct connection between the work that I do with my clients and the work that Jane is engaging with. What is the unconscious trying to communicate to us, and how do we bring that into consciousness?
As I finished another amazing Group Breath Retraining Course this week, someone said, "The biggest Aha! for me has been the realisation that this nose breathing is actually present moment breathing. It's like my body and my mind are meeting and the breath is the meeting place. I don't have to be in fight or flight all day long, but apparently I have been living as if that is how it has to be."
Are you breathing in the present moment? Or is your breathing telling your body that you are not in the present moment? Are you aware of it, and what can you do about it?
If this rings true for you, or feels as if you resonate with it, please join me for an upcoming training. It's not too late to sign up for the last Breath Retraining Course this spring and get that Introductory 1-on-1 session in before the group begins on Tuesday. And join me and Jane in May and/or in June for webinars.
I hope to see you soon.
Warmly,
Jennifer
