2021 YEA! Award Winners Recognized
Commissioners honored six Hillsborough County middle and high school students with the 11th annual Youth Excellence and Achievement (YEA!) Awards, saluting personal accomplishments and triumphs in their personal lives, at their schools, and in the community. May Proclaimed as Community Action Month in County
The BOCC proclaimed May as Community Action Month in Hillsborough County, praising the County's Community Action Board for its far-reaching initiatives that improve the lives of lower-income residents. 
Tampa Pride Street Festival and Diversity Fair Recognized
Commissioners presented a commendation to Tampa Pride recognizing the organization's upcoming Street Festival and Diversity Parade, family-friendly events that will feature a wide range of fun activities for people of all ages.

County Awarded $1.6M for Fight Against HIV

The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners accepted a $1.6 million award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that will be utilized by the Ryan White Program to fund initiatives that seek to reduce the number of new HIV infections in the county.

County Continues Overseeing Child Care Providers

The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners approved a contract with the Early Learning Coalition for the County’s Child Care Licensing services. This initiative will provide services to Hillsborough County child care providers and families to protect children’s health and safety, and enable them to be ready for kindergarten.
