As we have become more comfortable with the routines at the new dojo we find it important to share a few reminders with you at this time.
COVID :
Many of our families have found themselves in quarantine due to contact tracing through school recently. We've received many questions on our policy regarding quarantine due to contact tracing.
When you've been quarantined by your child's school what do we ask of you at Magnus?
- Should you like to return to karate during your quarantine from school period we ask that you provide a negative COVID test for your karate student.
- PLEASE NOTE - If you have someone in your household with a positive COVID test but your student has tested negative we ask that you continue to quarantine until ALL members of the household test negative for COVID.
Additionally, we ask that you continue to send your student to karate in a mask until further notice. As we watch the mitigation strategy recommendations change, as more adults become vaccinated, we would like to remind you that approximately 75% of our student population is under the age of 12. Until we have further guidance from the CDC on mitigation recommendations for young people please remember to wear your mask to the dojo!
CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION:
Registration -
We are beginning to see a trend at the dojo of families not registering for classes beforehand and still having their child attend class. Pre-registering via the Calendly link for each class your child attends is still required for class attendance in person at the dojo.
By having students registered for classes it:
- Helps us to stay within the Pennsylvania mandated 75% capacity
- Keeps your child safe with social distance
- Helps us to track who is coming and going from the dojo.
The registration link can be found in the weekly class registration emails and on the portal at magnuskarate.com. It can be accessed up to 15 minutes prior to the start of each class, as long as there is space still available within that class. We ask that you please continue to register your child for every class they plan to attend each week; this is a feature that is here to stay at Magnus.
Cancellations -
On a similar note, we would like to remind everyone to cancel a class registration should your child not be able to attend. With our current class capacities having a student holding a spot in a class that they are unable to attend blocks out other families from registering. If you know that you can no longer attend a class that you have registered your child for please take to time to go back into the confirmation email you have received from Calendly and cancel your registration.
