With the buzz of Earth Day behind us, we invite you to explore opportunities every day to care for the wonderful and magical natural spaces, including California State Parks.
With more than 750 animal species – including terrestrial and marine mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and freshwater fish – and a staggering number of plant species – more than 5,500 native species – California’s rich biodiversity deserves our protection.
Here are some small things you can do all year long to care for these extraordinary places. 🤲🏽
When hiking at your local, or favorite, park, grab a bag or a bucket to pick up litter along the way, like this Southern California climate activist
And always remember to #RecreateResponsibly when visiting parks and other outdoors spaces
If you have any more ideas on how we can help protect state parks, please email us at info@parkscalifornia.org.
Wishing you and yours well,
Kindley
P.S. – Taking care of the largest state park system in the nation is no easy feat. Meet the people of California State Parks who work every day to protect and preserve these irreplaceable spaces. Support us in keeping these outdoors spaces pristine and accessible to everyone.
