ASM. MIGUEL SANTIAGO SIDES WITH TIM MCOSKER IN LA'S CD-15 CONTEST
McOsker Gets High-Profile Support from Powerhouse California State Assemblyman in CD-15 Bid


SAN PEDRO, CA -- Continuing to pick up steam in the race for Los Angeles City Council District 15, today Tim McOsker, a longtime local attorney, non-profit executive, community volunteer, and former Chief of Staff to then-Mayor Jim Hahn, won a forceful endorsement from California State Assemblyman Miguel Santiago.

In making public his support of McOsker's Council bid, Assemblyman Miguel Santiago released the following statement:

"Tim McOsker is a personal friend and someone I've known for years. He's got a big heart and is someone who cares deeply about the city of Los Angeles and its people. Tim has also dedicated his life's work to helping lift up all communities, standing with working families to advance the labor movement, fighting to protect our environment, keeping LA's port competitive and most importantly, he brings compassion, vision and inclusivity to everything he does. Tim McOsker is a lifelong San Pedro community member who has dedicated his career to improving the quality of life for all Angelenos. Tim has had a long history of serving San Pedro, and all Angelenos, in many critical leadership roles over his three decades of experience in government, including as Chief of Staff and Chief Deputy City Attorney for former Los Angeles Mayor James K. Hahn. Before serving in the City of Los Angeles, Tim served as city attorney to various Southern California jurisdictions. 

Today, Tim serves as Chief Executive Officer of AltaSea, a non-profit advancing scientific discovery and collaboration in ocean sustainability and the blue economy, augmenting job creation at the Port of Los Angeles. As a dedicated activist committed to improving his community, Tim also currently sits on the governing boards of numerous local organizations, including the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, the San Pedro Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District (PBID), the Bridge Cities Alliance,  the Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Centers (South Bay), and the Linc Housing Corporation, which provides affordable housing solutions for Angelenos.

Tim's parents, Mac and Patricia, raised all 6 of their kids in San Pedro.   Tim and Connie (Tamburri) McOsker have been married for nearly 35 years and have 5 adult children who themselves were all raised in the District.
