May Day in Downtown Denton

Saturday, May 1st | 10am - 2pm
Downtown Denton is the place to be this May Day! This fun-filled event will feature live music, a plant sale, crafts for kids, yarn storming, baked good, an Open Air Artisan Market, knitting and quilting lessons, prepared provisions, store celebrations, alpacas and more!

Friday Night Cruise-In

Friday, May 14th, 6pm

Bring the family out and enjoy an outdoor activity! There will be cars parked along Market Street, a DJ spinning oldies tunes, food vendors and more. Have a car you would like to display? Contact Dean at 410-829-6493.

Head to downtown Denton on the Third Thursday of every month as downtown businesses extend their hours! Come out for a fun-filled evening featuring business specials and more! This month's event will also feature a Cornhole Tournament.

Anniversary Celebrations for Denton Businesses

Congratulations to Patti's Petals Florist Garden and Gifts, who is celebrating 13 years in Denton, and Joviality, who is celebrating 10 years in Denton! Here's to many more!

Downtown Denton Main Street Recovery Program

Downtown Denton Main Street developed a Recovery Program to help support our small businesses in our downtown Denton Main Street District. DDMS received $45,755 from Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for the Governor's Maryland Strong Economic Recovery Initiative (MD-SERI) - Main Street to support small businesses economic recovery efforts. The amount of individual Recovery Program Grant awards was determined by the total number of qualified applicants and their project/request. We recruited a committee made up of local business professionals to review the applications and to weight each application according to 5 criteria. We were able to award all 12 of the applicants according to their requested amount and the weighting.

*We will have another round of grant money coming in and will keep the Recovery Program open.
