FY 2021 Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside Formula Award Allocation
May 19, 2021

Hello from the Office for Victims of Crime, Tribal Division,

You are receiving this email because your tribe declared its intention to participate in the Office for Victims of Crime FY 2021 Tribal Victims Services Set Aside Formula Program (“TVSSA Program”) in March but did not submit an SF 424 and SF-LLL in Grants.gov by the May 12th deadline, or by the extended deadline of May 18th.

If you have decided not to participate in the TVSSA program in 2021, please email OVCTribalSetAside@ojp.usdoj.gov and Katherine.DarkeSchmitt@ojp.usdoj.gov to let us know so that we can discontinue our outreach efforts regarding the submission of your application documents. If you decide not to participate in this year's TVSSA Program, you will still be eligible to apply for the funds in future years.

If your Grants.gov submission was delayed by your in-process SAM.gov registration, please continue with that process so that it can be completed next week.

To accommodate those tribes who intend to participate in the FY 2021 TVSSA program, but who were unable to submit their documents in Grants.gov by the original deadline or the extended deadline, we are re-opening Grants.gov one final time beginning at 8:00 a.m. EDT/7:00 a.m. CDT/6:00 a.m. MDT/5:00 a.m. PDT/4:00 a.m. AKDT on Monday, May 24, 2021, through 11:59 p.m. EDT/10:59 p.m. CDT/9:59 p.m. MDT/8:59 p.m. PDT/7:59 p.m. AKDT on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
If you are unable to meet this third deadline in Grants.gov by 11:59 pm EDT on Tuesday, May 25th, the FY 2021 funds previously allocated to your tribe/organization will be re-allocated to support other OVC tribal grant programs.

Below are instructions for accessing Grants.gov. The solicitation for the OVC FY 2021 TVSSA Program, which includes directions on how to submit the required documents in Grants.gov, is also attached.

As a reminder, your SF-424 and SF-LLL will need to be submitted in Grants.gov, once it is re-opened on May 24, 2021, no later than 11:59 p.m. EDT/10:59 p.m. CDT/9:59 p.m. MDT/8:59 p.m. PDT/7:59 p.m. AKDT on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, and your full application is due in JustGrants no later than 3:00 p.m. EDT/2:00 p.m. CDT/1:00 p.m. MDT/12:00 p.m. PDT/11:00 a.m. AKDT on June 14, 2021.

Thank you for your work supporting crime victims in your community.
Katherine Darke Schmitt
Director, Tribal Division
