Planning, design, and construction activities for the Willamette Water Supply System are making great headway. Building this system is an historic undertaking with work that spans from Wilsonville to Hillsboro: including more than 30 miles of water pipe, upgraded water intake facilities, a state-of-the-art water treatment plant, and water storage tanks. When the system comes online in 2026, it will be one of Oregon’s most seismically resilient water systems and serve around 360,000 residents in Washington County.
More than 350 local and regional businesses are providing goods and services for Willamette Water Supply System construction. Working closely with our regional partners, and with a strong focus on safety, our dedicated Willamette Water Supply Program team has maintained momentum on these projects throughout the pandemic, and we are preparing to start some of our largest construction projects yet.
