Strategic Networks and Initiatives Program (SNIP)
SNIP provides support for faculty-driven, interdisciplinary initiatives at the vanguard of agricultural and natural resources research. At all levels, funding will be awarded to collaborative interdisciplinary teams seeking to investigate focused research problems in pursuit of large-scale extramural grant opportunities. Concept notes are encouraged for Level I proposals and required for Levels II and III. Note the opportunities for cross-college collaborations in the RFP!
Concept Notes will be accepted on a rolling basis until July 15, 2021

Science to Practice Grant Program (S2P)
The College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) Office for Research and Graduate Education and Penn State Extension invite proposals to the Science-to-Practice (S2P) Grant Program for new and renewal projects that integrate research and extension. The S2P program provides funding to support the formation and development of teams proposing to explore innovative methods, structures, and projects that foster the translation of research into outputs for dissemination and implementation. Awards up to $10,000.

If you are planning to submit a proposal for external funding, please complete the Office of Grants and Contracts Notice of Intent at least 3 weeks prior to the sponsor deadline. A proposal preparation and deadline timeline was developed with a team of faculty, the Associate Dean for Research and the OGC. Please prepare your grant in concert with your OGC research administrator and in accordance with the proposal submission timeline so that we may meet PSU standards and sponsor deadlines in a timely manner, and submit a competitive and compliant grant proposal.

The Penn State Limited Submission Program manages the response to research funding opportunities for which a limited number of submissions are permitted from Penn State. Opportunities of this kind include an earlier submission deadline for an internal submission and downselect process.
