Best of the Nest Award

Dear CHMS Families,
As you may recall, our amazing PTO sponsors our staff appreciation award, the “Best of the Nest” with a premium parking spot for the winner. Staff members nominate each other based on:

  • Who has inspired you?
  • Who is making you a better staff member?
  • Who is making your day more enjoyable?
  • Who is doing great things for kids?
  • Who is consistently in your corner?
  • Who is implementing innovative strategies in the building?

This award continues to demonstrate the inspiring, kind, and giving staff we have here at CHMS. The incredible words that are written toward each other in response to the thoughtful actions taken are inspirational.

This month, Mrs. Jen Scheuerman (8th grade ELA) was our lucky winner! A few comments shared about her were:

“Jen is just such an amazing teammate!”

“Jen is kind, she is patient, she is positive with staff and students, she thinks of others often, and has great ideas for making 8th grade awesome!”

Congratulations again to Mrs. Scheuerman and all of our nominated staff members.

Dr. Levi Brown
Principal, Clarendon Hills Middle School

Honor Your Teacher Through a D181 Foundation Donation

This year give a special educator the gift of your recognition and appreciation. How? By making a donation to the District 181 Foundation in his or her honor.

When you donate, here’s what happens:

The honored teacher receives a letter with your special message included and a certificate of appreciation. A copy of this message is shared with the teacher’s principal and the superintendent.

District 181 students and teachers benefit from the grants and programs that will be funded with your donation.

You give a gift that teachers love to receive. You may honor as many teachers as you wish with your donation.
Participating is easy!

Click here to fill out and submit the form. We’ll take care of the rest. You can then donate online or mail a check payable to D181 Foundation to District 181 Foundation, PO Box 715, Hinsdale, IL 60522
