Easter 5: Liturgy to pray at home
Dear Friends,
Looking forward to joining you in worship at 10, either online or at church, in person. Today we contemplate the image of Jesus as the vine, and we as the branches, and we look forward to Brenda's wonderful sermon.
You can watch the service on our facebook page or on our website. You can also access a liturgy to pray at home here.
On Monday we are taking a bank holiday so there will be no mass. From Tuesday our masses continue throughout the week, at 10 each day except on Thursdays, when the time is reverting to 7pm in the evening and Fridays, where there is a 10.00 mass at Holy Trinity..
With love and prayers,
Fr Ben
A few dates for the diary
Thursday 13th May: Ascension Day, 7.30pm
We'll have a special mass for Ascension Day at 7.30pm on Thursday 13th May
Sunday 16th May: May Devotion to Our Lady, 6pm
May is Mary's month, and on 16th we'll have a special service of devotion to Mary, with prayers at the shrine.
Saturday 22nd May: 6.00pm Pentecost Vigil
Like Easter, Pentecost has its own vigil service the night before. It's a beautiful way to pray together for the coming of the Holy Spirit. This year it will also be followed by a celebration of Brenda's birthday outside.
Sunday 23rd May; APCM
After Mass on Sunday 23rd May we'll be holding our annual parish meeting where we elect the Churchwardens and the PCC and find out about what's been happening over the year.
