In Good Heart Farm

Good morning! We're at that point in the season where we're swimming in produce, weeds, and work. Thank goodness it all comes with absolutely gorgeous and delicious food. We've really been enjoying the green garlic these days with sauteed greens and fried eggs (or in quesadillas or burritos). We also enjoy making fermented green garlic and using it as a delicious condiment throughout the year.  Ben's bringing some of the last green garlic of the season (garlic scapes and garlic bulbs will come later) plus lots of gorgeous lettuce, bok choy, beets, chard, kale, hakurei turnips, scallions, radishes, celery, parsley, and more. He'll also have seedlings including a number of different tomato varieties, cucumbers, zucchini, basil, lettuces, and herbs.

Perry-winkle Farm

And now it's May!  Almost magically it seems that May means a definite shift in what we have to offer at market. We are busy harvesting a lot of cut flowers.  We will have bunches of dianthus (aka. Sweet Williams), more bachelor buttons, and new this week some lovely foxglove bunches and a few snapdragons bunches as well. There will be mixed bouquets in two different sizes along with a bucket of Dutch Irises.

We continue to pull green garlic and we will harvest a cooler full of arugula. This week we will have more lovely head lettuces along with bunches of several types of kale and the first of our tender spring collard greens. There will also be a good supply of eggs from Michael's pastured hens. You can check out what we are up to here at the farm by checking our Instagram.

with gratitude,
