Kingdom Rice Matching Fund Offer - “Shop Local in 2021”
During this pandemic with on-line shopping at an all-time high, many local business are really struggling. We can’t help everyone, but we’ve been very intentional about supporting our local businesses through shopping, listening, praying, and fundraising. Sometimes we act urgently, like last week when we learned that a restaurant who employs a single mom friend of ours needed to meet a certain sales number to stay open. At other times we’ve purchased vouchers, invested in “gofundmes,” and I have been mentoring a senior staff from the “Y” who has since started turning to Jesus for the first time and joined our church along with his wife. As we “shop local” in 2021, we’re sowing seeds for the Kingdom, and God is watering them.
One of our financial donors is offering a matching grant called “Shop Local in 2021” in the amount of $2,021 to encourage our continued "salt and light" to local merchants and organizations. If you consider giving to this campaign, you are giving to God through Kingdom Rice. The matching grant will match gifts outside of regular giving according to this criteria:
- Donors who will contribute any multiple of $202.10 as a special gift (e.g. $202.10, $404,20, etc)
- Donors who will contribute any multiple of $20.21 monthly’s or equivalent (for at least 12 months).
