We Walk by Faith

We walk by faith and not by sight;
with gracious words draw near,
O Christ, who spoke as none e'er spoke:
"My peace be with you here."

We may not touch your hands and side,
nor follow where you trod;
but in your promise we rejoice,
and cry, "My Lord and God!"

Prayer

Loving God, I come to you praying for my family and friends. I understand that loving you does not give me exemption from harm or crisis. But I come to you that I, and those I love, may emerge from this trial strengthened by greater awareness of your mercy and the preciousness of life.

Even though we doubt and at times feel the emptiness of understanding life, may your love sustain us and meet our need. May Jesus Christ come to refresh and renew us, as cool water refreshes those who are weary. Amen.
