OTT.X Call For Change

A message from OTT.X President & CEO, Mark Fisher

In March, I announced that OTT.X would host a continuing dialogue about social justice, racism, exclusion, and allyship within our industry, identifying the changes that we can together impact today and that we can together work toward impacting in the future.

We’ve hosted two vibrant sessions so far, including OTT.X members as well as non-members; including individuals of color or in underrepresented minorities as well as white males; and including middle managers as well as senior executives.  Topics raised for further discussion include connecting minority companies with funding opportunities, connecting content creators with interested parties to create socially relevant content, and partnering to create an industry diversity report and to report on accountability for related commitments made within our industry.

It’s not too late to join this group and participate in these sessions.  The next meeting will be held via Zoom on May 20, 2021 at 10AM PDT (for one hour).  I encourage you, regardless of whether your skin tone is light or dark or of a different tint, and regardless of whether you were born male or female or whether you are gay, bi, trans or straight, to participate and to add your voice.  It is just as (or maybe more) important for those of us who grew up and exist with privilege to participate in the discussions and in the solutions as for those who are directly impacted.

If you’d like to participate and you aren’t already registered for the May 20 meeting, please CLICK HERE or use the button below to email me

I look forward to your participation

- Mark Fisher
