Hello,

You are receiving this message because you submitted or approved a transaction that disrupted payroll processing at UCPath Center (UCPC) during the last pay period.

Each time a pay-impacting transaction is submitted during the payroll processing blackout period  (indicated in the “Stop Processing” column in the Payroll Processing Schedule), the payroll cycle is disrupted. UCPC staff then has to remove the individual transaction and restart the pay cycle. Since the pay cycle is processing payroll for all UCs, an interruption of a transaction from any campus impacts the payroll timeline for all campuses. Your transaction is also at risk, as it is removed from processing and therefore does not apply to the payroll cycle.

UCPC is working on an automated solution to prevent transactions during the blackout window, but until this fix is implemented, it is extremely important to avoid submitting or approving transactions during the blackout period while payroll is actively running.

Please review these resources to make sure you are clear on which transactions to avoid during the blackout period:

If you are unsure which of your transaction(s) caused this issue, please reach us at UCBUCPath@Berkeley.edu to discuss specific details. We are also available for additional assistance or training as needed.

Thank you,
UCPath Operations Team
