Thoughts from Chris

Super simple this week. Moms, grandmas, and super aunts who fill an important role in the upbringing of your nieces and nephews - you are amazing! This weekend celebrates Mother's Day, and I want to celebrate you!

I don't have any special promotions set up for Mother's Day. Blame it on the fact that I'm a guy who doesn't plan ahead! #jokingnotjoking. BUT a few of our allies have some cool things set up! PYE was founded as an organization that was more interested in pointing toward amazing resources than always having to point toward our own resources. So, here you go!
  • Better Screen Time has a promotion going with the Flecks of Gold journal for mom. Use BST in checkout with this link!
  • We.Start.Now has a really playful free, printable Mother's Day card. I did an LOL (without the uncool, Boomer-only emoji) when I saw this. Follow the link here!
Parenting with you,

Digital Trends Researched for You!

**Breaking - 9th Circuit Court says that Snapchat can be sued. Wow. Section 230 from a 1996 Act has been broadly interpreted to shield tech companies, like Snapchat, from being sued. This time, the court said that the FEATURES, not the content, open Snap up to being sued by parents of 3 boys who were using Snapchat when they crashed their car and died. The judge said: "CDA immunity," referring to Section 230, is "unavailable in this case." What does this mean for families? This is significant. Increasing accountability for the harms these platforms can cause to young, developing brains is really important. We're hoping this begins good conversations about Section 230 reform.
