Tree of Hope Honors Lives Lost to Pandemic
On April 29, members of the MxCC community honored those who lost lives or a loved one due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Tree of Hope, a Cloud Nine dogwood, is now located on the lawn at the left of the lower parking lot entrance and across from Chapman Hall. Earlier that day, students participated in Fresh Check Day, an event designed to bring the whole campus community together to “check-in” on the mental health and wellness of college students.

Volunteers Spruce Up Veterans Garden

MxCC volunteers cleaned-up the grounds at Apple Rehab in Middletown on May 6. They relocated flowers, weeded, and laid down mulch. Organized by Ashley Raithel and the Center for Civic Engagement, this project brought joy to the residents while giving back to a great community in need of some care after an unprecedented year. "They really made an impact, and the residents will enjoy sitting out there this spring and summer," said Ashley. More photos.
