A Growth-Oriented Way of Valuing English Proficiency in Academic Studies: A Partnership between English Language Institute and Music Department

In contrast with the traditional way of valuing international students' English proficiency with a clear-cut standard test score, Ms. Paula Moore and Dr. Amy Muchnick shared a growth-oriented and collaborative way of helping international students succeed in English learning, self-confidence improvement, and academic studies. This is the English for Musicians Program - an innovative partnership between English Language Institute and Music Department at Missouri State University. Listen to their encouraging stories of their students and faculty in GREAT Conversation, and learn about how this growth-oriented collaboration can be duplicated in your academic programs.
