Tao of React is published! 🎉

Big news this week. Tao of React is now published and available! I first wrote about this in January when I wrote the long post with the same name. You all liked it and people asked me whether I would expand the material and turn it into an e-book.

Tao of React is now a book.

After a few months of writing and editing, the extended version is available. It’s 113 pages long, split in 4 chapters and contains 70 principles on React project architecture and software design.

The first two chapters are on project architecture and component design. They’re the most important aspects for the health of any software project. The high and low level decisions that each developer has to make. I’ve made sure to include my fundamental principles on testing and performance as well, those are chapters 3 and 4. Learn more about the book on the official website.

It’s a great resource for React beginners who want to learn how to build real applications. However, it’s definitely not a React 101 book. It’s meant for people who know the basics and want to learn how to put the pieces together.

I wrote it because that’s the book I wanted to read. It’s the book I wish I had when I was starting out. It’s everything I know, put into writing.

You can learn more about the book or get it on Gumroad.

Thank you for being a reader and thank you for the support. Writing this newsletter and the book has given me so much fulfilment. I hope my content brings you some knowledge or inspiration in return. Cheers!
