Just before one of the richest descriptions of our Savior’s selfless love at work, the apostle says this:
“in humility value others above yourselves,
not looking to your own interests
but each of you to the interests of the others”
Philippians 2:3-4

Together God continues to move us to look at each other’s needs and interests during the pandemic. We can and should thank God for inspiring our faith to respond to the crisis over a year with loving concern for all. We moved chairs, abbreviated the worship service, wore masks, washed hands, stayed home when feeling sick and spread out. And now that Jefferson County has gone to Level All Clear, rescinded its County Mask Order and pointed to the State’s guidance, we remain moved by total love and care for each other, even as our situation has changed and our strategies may look different.

This past week, our Church Council discussed how we move forward in the full spirit of unity and love now that so many restrictions have been lifted from our church setting. We ask one another to continue to do whatever circumstances call for to provide safe, loving care for all.

When you come to church, we will continue to have spread out pews, abbreviated worship, a touch-free environment, and we’ll keep the worship and Bible hour schedule (8-9-10).

You also have a variety of ways you can respond to those around you in love, like wearing a mask, standing apart in conversation, sitting apart during worship, participating from home if feeling sick, washing your hands before church, etc. Masks and distancing are not required, but they are tools you can use as Christian love calls for it.

We will no longer be using the Eventbrite worship “tickets” for registering for in-person worship. Just come and show up! We will still take attendance for both in-person and for online worshipers using the Google Form link just as we’ve always done. If you have any questions or concerns about anything, please contact Paul Cummings or speak with Pastor Daniel.

When we gather, we will focus on God’s love for us in worship and on sharing that love with those around us in our family of faith. What an encouragement to be in such an environment! God help us grow in faith and in love for each other all our days.

ON ANOTHER NOTE: SAVE THE DATE!
The Church Council would like to invite everyone to a congregational planning think-tank event on Sunday, June 13th, after late service until about 3pm. We will have lunch together (potluck) and enjoy brainstorming about the next three years. More details to come, but save the date for now so that you can be there!

We will be hosting a Church garage sale this August 12th, 13th and 14th! So that means...start gathering your items to sell. For now, we are asking that you keep them at your house. But as the date gets closer, we will designate an area at church for you to bring your items. You are welcome to price your own, or we can price them for you. We will also be looking for some volunteers to help set up as well as host the day of. If you are interested in helping, please contact Margo Hahn at 720-880-8477.
We give because He first gave to us!

Please GIVE HERE. This is a safe and convenient way to give our offerings. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Rogers at 720-839-6021. He can help walk you through either a one time offering, or even help you set up a reoccurring offering.
