Edison new COVID-19 cases in single digits, a first since September - centraljersey.com
Updates

  • NEW: In accordance with the CDC and KCHD recommendations, all staff and students must continue to wear a mask when inside the school building regardless of their vaccine status. While outdoors, students may choose to take their masks off if they prefer, but social distancing is still recommended.
  • To keep you informed and be as transparent as possible, the district developed two EGRPS COVID-19 summary tables that list weekly and cumulative positive cases.  The summaries can be found here.  These tables are updated weekly.  Please reach out to Jeff Dykhouse if you have any additional questions.
  • Please continue to complete the Student Screener at home each morning before sending your child(ren) to school.

  • Please encourage your student to be mindful of bringing a mask to school each day.

  • We have received questions on domestic or international travel and whether students should quarantine. There are no current requirements for students who travel domestically or internationally. However, the KCHD recommends that anyone traveling to areas of the United States or the world that have high rates of COVID-19 consider a 14-day quarantine upon return.  A link to travel information may be found here.

  •  Please use this link to order both food & milk: online form

Field Day
We are seeking volunteers to assist with our Field Day!  Those interested will be facilitating a group activity for our students.  Groups will rotate through your station at intervals.  Please check-in at the main office where you will receive station instructions along with a map of locations and plan to be outside for the entire morning.  A few things to note:

  • Volunteers are required to be vaccinated and wear a mask.
  • If you are not vaccinated and would still like to volunteer, please contact mkastane@egrps.org for available opportunities.

As this extraordinary school year winds down, would you like to recognize your children’s teachers in a meaningful way? Have school staff members made a difference in your children’s lives? Consider giving them STAR Awards from the Foundation.

STAR (Staff member and Teacher Appreciation and Recognition) Awards honor outstanding teachers or staff members for going above and beyond for our students. For a $20 donation to the Foundation, we’ll produce a STAR Award for your favorite teacher or staff member and either present it to them or give it to you to present it yourself. Best of all, your donation will go toward funding enhancement grants that enable our teachers to offer our kids educational opportunities that are second to none. To honor a teacher or staff member quickly and easily, visit the STAR awards page on our website.
