Comprehensive Plan update

The consulting team of Greenstreet and YARD & Company was in Carmel conducting community engagement activities in an effort to collect feedback from the general public. The input they received will help shape the final planning document, which is set to begin review this summer.

"Thank you to the community for coming to our events and sharing your thoughts and feedback about living and working in Carmel. The success of the comprehensive plan will largely be due to the contributions of the community" said Adrienne Keeling, Planning Administrator for the City of Carmel.

111th Street and Westfield Boulevard - Construction of the City's 139th roundabout at the intersection of 111th Street and Westfield Boulevard is underway. May is Mental Health Awareness Month
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, May 16 – 22 is designated as Teen’s Mental Health Week. Carmel Mayor's Youth Council executive committee members remind their peers and community there are ways to cope with feelings of depression.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the mental health of people of all ages. Now, more than ever, it is critical to reduce the stigma around mental health struggles, because that stigma often prevents individuals from seeking help.

The City of Carmel joins these efforts by recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month and spreading the word that improving mental health is something everyone in our community should support.
Carmel Cares is a community partnership with Carmel Clay Schools, Carmel Clay Parks Department, Carmel Clay Public Library, Good Day Carmel, the Carmel Police and Fire Departments, Center for the Performing Arts, and others.
