 President's Note:
It is hard to believe that it is the month of May, and that we are on our last playing session for this season. I hope that all of you have enjoyed these sessions, as much as I have! Even though we haven't been able to play where we hear each other, being able to see so many of you playing during the sessions has been inspiring. I look forward to the day when we can be together, but I am also excited to be able to have this ability to come together through Zoom.
As we close out this year, I can't say thank you enough to those who have supported TRS financially this year, as well as the strong attendance on the Zoom sessions! Without members, there wouldn't be a TRS.
I would like to recognize our officers for their willingness to work together to find ways to keep us playing and organized this year! They have been willing to meet several times, and they have offered encouragement and forward thinking ideas through this time of transition. Thanks!
As we complete this year, we have a couple of people transitioning out of officer roles. Bev will be stepping down from Treasurer, and I want to say a special thanks to her for the work she did for the last several seasons! Jennifer will be stepping down as music director, and we wish her the best of luck at school. (She has said she will guest direct, and I plan to hold her to that!)
I want to say a final thanks to Jennifer, Pat, and Doug for making so many recordings for us to enjoy in our playing sessions, as well as their willingness for us to have them for practice.
We will be reaching out to you in the late summer with our plans for next year. I look forward to seeing everyone in the fall, whether it be live or on Zoom.
