Sunshine Club
As you may know, in normal years Sunshine Club works with the St. Vrain Valley Schools and local dentists to complete dental screenings in all elementary schools in the district during January and February. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sunshine Club has not been able to host these screenings in 2021. Sunshine Club wants to meet the dental needs of kids in our community. The Sunshine Club is here to help! If your child is suffering from what you believe to be an urgent dental need (pain, swelling, odor), please contact Kate at mkate.gaddis@gmail.com. Upon hearing from you, the Sunshine Club will work to connect you with a local dentist, and, if applicable, Sunshine Club will provide the financial assistance to complete the necessary dentistry.

We will be offering some Friday Support sessions beginning after Spring Break. These will take place each Friday with the goal to support your student and to provide a quiet place for students to come and do their work. Please know that these are not tutoring sessions. These sessions will take place in the library (and a classroom when both sessions are at the same time) and will be supervised by various staff members. We will max each session at 15 students, and you will sign-up your student/s and check space availability by calling the school office at 303.652.2828. The deadline to sign-up is the end of the school day on Thursday of the week you wish to attend. Please also know that we will open the sign-up at the beginning of each week for that Friday session. Please note that on our late start days (April 2 & May 7) both sessions are in the afternoon. This is also the case on our last session, May 21. All of the other Friday's will have an AM session for K,1,2 and a PM session for 3,4,5. Here is the schedule for Friday Support through the end of the school year:
May 21: SVVSD Innovation Mobile Lab will be at NES in the afternoon
K,1,2 -- 10:30am-12:00pm
3,4,5 -- 10:30am-12:00pm
(max 15 students per session)
Sign-Up begins Monday, May 17
(deadline to sign-up is May 20)
We hope that many families take advantage of our Friday support sessions. We are here to help!
