Wednesday night the City of Malibu is hosting an info session on the Malibu Unified School District. Info below. Friday is our Student only Field Day! The PTA Field Day Committee is excited to host Malibu Elementary School's first ever Field Day! This fun filled day of obstacle courses and games is a new take on the Point Dume Marine Science School tradition. With current Covid limitations still in place, parent spectators are not allowed. Only parent volunteers are allowed to supervise the activities. We still need a handful of Parent Volunteers for Field Day! Please email Margaret Franco to sign up: magfranco1@aol.com

As part of the community’s ongoing effort to form an independent Malibu Unified School District, the Malibu City Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, May 19, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM to conduct a virtual study session on school district property tax funding. The study session will include a presentation on property tax funding allocated to school districts and an opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about how schools are funded.
