The Edge of Everywhere
Live Music and Camping
Saturday, June 12
4 PM

Learn about the issues surrounding the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) and enjoy a night of live music, food, and camping. This event is family-friendly and will be held at Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center. Live music will be from 4 PM - 8 PM. Family Camping Area or Adult Camping Area available to reserve.

Lineup:

  • Echoes from Iron Ore — This debut album was recorded in March 2021 in a small cabin at the edge of the BWCA and produced by Dave Simonett (Trampled by Turtles, Dead Man Winter). The album features a cast of local musicians and will help raise money and awareness for the protection of the BWCA.
  • Potluck String Band — In the Potluck String Band, everyone brings something to the table, and, as often happens when creating something together, the result is more than the parts that made it. Call it joy, call it good old-fashioned fun, call it a bunch of strings strummed into a heart-opening chord.
  • Katey Bellville — With a nostalgic appreciation for old-time tunes, Katey Bellville inevitably pines for traditional sounds while composing contemporary songs. Listeners describe her original songs as ‘unforgettable’, blending modern pop sensibilities with fundamental bluegrass instrumentation.
