m-cult's local collaborations continue this year with two long-term projects within the Maunula Commons theme. Here we share news about the projects and related events and calls for participation.
m-cultin paikallinen yhteistuotanto jatkuu tänä vuonna kahdella pitkäkestoisella projektilla Maunula Commons-teemalla. Tässä tietoja projekteista sekä tapahtumista ja kutsuista.
Central Park Archives Central Park Archives is a project of collaborative archiving together with artists and communities of Helsinki. The project documents the history and changes of the 110-year old urban forest by bringing together a multiplicity of voices and perspectives.
The second year of the project opens with calls for participation for artists and citizens. Collections will be expanded while building an online platform for sharing them. The work continues with artists Susanna Ånäs and Ali Akbar Mehta, while new artists are invited to open their perspectives to the park.
Central Park Archives has been developed in context of Frame's Rehearsing Hospitalities programme 2020-21, with a final event on May 27 to discuss access, agency and the commons. Read more Institute of Care The Institute of Care focuses on economies of care. The project envisions new forms of organisation and economy together with care receivers and care givers. Approaching care as a network that keeps human societies together, the project aims to make care a foundational value of the economy.
The project is piloted in Maunula with artist Vienne Chan who specialises in rethinking social economies. The project will kick off on May 28 with a special Care issue published in the local newspaper Maunulan Sanomat, and continues with informal conversations, live role play workshops and events. Keskuspuistoarkistot Keskuspuistoarkistot on yhteisöllisen arkistoinnin projekti, joka toteutetaan taiteilijoiden ja helsinkiläisten yhteisöjen kanssa. Projekti taltioi 110-vuotiaan kaupunkimetsän historiaa ja muutoksia kokoamalla yhteen sen moninaiset äänet ja näkökulmat.
Projektin toinen tuotantokausi alkaa taiteilija- ja osallistujakutsuilla. Kokoelmien kartuttaminen jatkuu läpi vuoden samalla kun aineistojen jakamiselle rakennetaan verkkoalustaa. Yhteistyössä ovat yhä mukana Susanna Ånäs ja Ali Akbar Mehta, ja uusia taiteilijoita kutsutaan avaamaan oma näkökulmansa puistoon.
Keskuspuistoarkistot-projekti on osa Framen Vieraanvaraisuusharjoituksia-ohjelmaa 2020-21 ja työ päättyy 27.5. keskusteluun saavutetta-vuudesta, toimijuudesta ja jaetuista resursseista. Lue lisää Hoivan instituutti Hoivan instituutti pohtii hoivan taloutta ja etsii hoivalle uusia talouden ja organisoitumisen muotoja yhdessä hoivaa tarvitsevien ja sitä antavien kanssa. Lähtökohtana on ajatus hoivasta verkostona, joka pitää yhteiskunnan toiminnassa: hoiva tulisi nähdä talouden perustavana arvona.
Projekti pilotoidaan Maunulassa 2021 talousmuotoihin erikoistuneen taiteilija Vienne Chanin kanssa. Projektin avaa 28.5. Maunulan Sanomien liitteenä julkaistava Hoiva-sanomat. Työ jatkuu vapaamuotoisilla keskusteluilla, roolipelipajoilla ja tapahtumilla. Lue lisää
