May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
Look for the feature bar once you login to our website!
Over the last year, we all experienced challenges that have affected our lives. The ongoing pandemic coupled with job losses, juggling working from home with remote schooling, and concerns about being able to maintain an enriching quality of life have impacted nearly everyone of us. Couple these new difficulties with the very real and present challenges we were already working to overcome, and it becomes easier to see the potential for an emotional crisis to develop.

In one way or another, these challenging times have affected everyone. Taking a moment to reflect on your life and get in touch with the parts of yourself and your life that may need some attention is the goal of this month of national awareness.

To support Mental Health Awareness Month, these resources will help you understand the importance of addressing your mental health and emotional wellbeing concerns, ways you can stay better connected to yourself and to those around you, and the positive habits you can start developing today that will help you live a more resilient and stress-free life.

Visit southwesteap.com and login with company code "sweap" to check out the featured content.  Click the feature bar to view the Mental Health Month Resource list, you will also find information related to mental health by visiting our website's Emotional Wellbeing resource library.

Mental Health Webinars:
Healthy Connections
Studies have shown that individuals who feel a sense of connection to others and to their communities are likely to live longer and enjoy happier, healthier lives than those who do not. Though we're more "connected" than ever these days through technology, the amount of real, quality interactions is dwindling. We're living farther apart from family and friends and spending more time in front of screens-even when we're surrounded by others, we're often in our own world. This session will review some simple steps for enhancing a sense of connection, even for those of us with the busiest of schedules. We'll learn how some very small, sustainable changes can make a huge impact on both physical and emotional well-being.
