Big news for the Tindie community!
Big news from the Tindarian overlords! Supplyframe, the parent company of Tindie and Hackaday, has been acquired by Siemens for $0.7 Billion USD (a weird way of saying $700 Million, see also: Adafruit gives us a shout). It's great news for the entire Supplyframe family, including Tindie and Hackaday.
In even better news, we're probably, almost certainly, definitely, at least halfway done with this whole pandemic thing. We're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel: the vaccine is out and some of us can go mask-less outdoors if we've already had the vaccine. Things are looking up, so let's take a look at what everyone has been building for the last year.
SHIPPING STILL SLOW
COVID hit, then a ship got stuck, everything is all discombobulated, and now there's a global shortage of microcontrollers. Global shipping is just really screwed up, and. shipping times are generally terrible. When ordering time-sensitive parts, please pay special attention to individual store shipping notices and where the items will ship from. You can find product specific shipping info on the product page. Before contacting us or the seller, please check out our FAQ about International Shipping Disruptions.
PARTICIPATE FROM WHERE YOU ARE
Our friends at Hackaday have set up a community calendar for online classes, meetups, and events! Be sure to check it out!
WE WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR EVENTS!
Whether you're organizing a meetup, online event, or class that might be of interest to the Tindie community, please let us know the details, and we'll be happy to share it with everyone!
