Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
 
This is the special time of year where we find ourselves on the bridge between the close of one year and the beginning of a new year in the Lord. During this season, it is so easy to become distracted with the cares of this world. However, let’s remember to cast our cares on Him and choose to give Him priority with our time and attention.
 

Recently, I was reading in 2 Peter 3:9 where it reveals that “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

In context, this verse is speaking about the promised Day of the Lord, when there will be a final judgment. The Lord will create a new heaven and a new earth, and all who know Him will abide forever with Him. With all the negative things that are going on in this world, we must take heed to not lose heart and let go of His truth.

 
This wonderful Scripture reveals the delay in His coming is because He is not willing that any should perish. The delay is not because His promise has failed or that it isn’t true. The delay is solely because He is good. He is giving people more time to listen to His gospel, so they can believe Him and receive Him through repentance.

I believe the devil is working overtime, trying to stop the gospel from going forth in these last days. But God is not done and the devil cannot stop what God wants to do. God desires to flow through His people in great and mighty ways in these last days. While the Day of the Lord is a promise that will come to pass, the church should not be hiding out waiting for that Day. We should be involved in the harvest because that is His heart.
 
In light of God’s desire to save people, Lisa and I will be traveling to South Africa on January 11, 2022. We will be graduating about 10 students from the bible school, holding gospel tent meetings, and ministering in churches and groups.
 
The last time we had tent meetings in South Africa, we saw so many people receive Jesus and healing. One lady was healed of stroke paralysis which became a testimony to other people where she lived.

When we were planning our trip to South Africa to graduate students and receive new students, we felt led to ask our Zulu pastor friend if we could also hold tent meetings. He got excited about the idea. When new restrictions were announced recently, he told us everything is going to be fine and they are praying for many people to come to Christ and to be healed. They are also believing for revival in the hearts of the people. We believe things are ripe because just as things have been difficult everywhere, it has been very difficult for many in South Africa, and we know that God wants to save people, heal people, and touch people.

 

This trip will cost a total of about $6000, and that includes the costs for the tent meetings and the bible school materials for new students. This is a great opportunity to give into this ministry trip and outreach. Even though it isn’t easy to travel right now with all the restrictions, God hasn’t quit the gospel business.
