Its Time We Talk: Pornography, Young People and Sexuality Sessions 2021
Partially funded by the South Coast Prevention team, It’s Time We Talked sessions focus on the influence of pornography on young people and building the capacity of the school community to respond. Maree Crabbe delivered both staff professional development and parent/carer sessions at Korumburra Secondary College and Newhaven College at the start of Term 2.

During Term 3 2020, our staff sent schools a weekly selection of helpful resources to share with their school community to support good mental health and wellbeing.

Healthy Canteen Activity at grade 5/6 Student Leader Workshop 2020
This activity aims to build students understanding of healthy food choices and assist them to review their school canteen/lunch order menu.

Family Planning Victoria Sessions in Corner Inlet Schools 2019
Relationships and Sexuality Education was rolled out in Corner Inlet schools during Term 4 2019. Through funding sought by the Prevention Team from Gippsland Women's Health, Family Planning Victoria was able to visit each school to deliver age appropriate curriculum content and a parent/carer session.

Tap Water Every Day project at Korumburra Secondary College 2019
This project encouraged teens to drink tap water. Tasked with changing the behaviour of their peers, students created the key messages of a local social marketing campaign. Click on the images below to view some of their work.

School canteen surveys at local secondary schools 2019
We all want the best for our students and we know nutritious foods have a positive impact on learning and performance. Administering a whole of school survey is a great way to understand the needs and wants of your school community. Wonthaggi SC, Korumburra SC and Leongatha SC have all completed school canteen surveys.

Relationships & Sexual Health in class Professional Learning at South Gippsland Specialist School 2019
Family Planning Victoria trained key staff to deliver relationships & sexual health content in the classroom. Through funding sought by our staff from Gippsland Women's Health, Family Planning Victoria delivered in training over 2 sessions.

Respectful Relationships Vox Pop Series 2019
Our team partnered with DET and the Corner Inlet Learning Alliance created a series of ‘vox pops'. The video series interviewed the principals and leaders of Respectful Relationship schools to create a community engagement tool. Click on the images below to view some of the videos created.
