HAPPY MAY VOTING DAY!

May 18, 2021

TL;DR

  • Today is local municipal election day!
  • See the Conservative candidates as vetted by the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee.
  • See the other candidates as endorsed by the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee.

Local is the MOST important election.

Happy Voting Day!

Today is the day where we put our local voice to work! We have been waxing on and on for the past year about what a crap show the local politics arena has become and this is the day that we take the first step to change it.

Here’s the deal.

The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee has been receiving a lot of grief from all around about their new vetting program. There have been hit pieces about the KCRCC every other day by the CDA Press, between front page articles written about Kootenai Health Board incumbents and slam pieces by Republican library incumbents who didn’t get the top spot on the KCRCC Conservative ballot list. Let’s not forget the rants by CDA City Councilman Dan Gookin who is getting louder and louder about his aversion to this vetting process. My personal guess is that Gookin, who is a Libertarian at heart, is panicking because his time for election is coming up in 2022 and he knows he’s NOT going to get the KCRCC Conservative vote. But I may be wrong, only time will tell.

As a voter in Kootenai County, I am personally glad to know who the most Conservative candidates are – even in the so-called “non-partisan” elections – because I know that their morals and values closely align with mine. That doesn’t mean we agree on EVERYTHING, but I know that their priorities include God, Country, We the People, and the children.

Even though the KCRCC, and chair Brent Regan, has been thrown so much hatred about this vetting process, I just saw yesterday that the Democrats in the greater Seattle area are doing the same thing. Why? Because it’s hard to figure out who is a DINO (Democrat in name only) or who is a “true” Democrat.

Huh.

WILD concept.

Where’s the hit pieces?

Back on this side of the state line, the Idaho Democratic Party admitted that they hide in these non-partisan elections purposefully, otherwise they would never get elected. Where’s the hit pieces for them?

For full transparency, here’s a list of everyone the Kootenai County Democrats have endorsed, had the CDA Press write fluff pieces about, or have helped support with money & donations.

The Post Falls School District Levy – which has already been voted down ONCE – has been fully supported monetarily by left-leaning businesses and individuals. Ed at the Idaho Speaks podcast puts together a solid argument about why this levy should be voted down again and again, just based on Post Falls testing scores and I highly recommend you check it out. (it’s only 12 minutes so definitely doable.)

If you need help deciding who to vote for please take this email into the voting booth with you for a reminder. If you need help remembering where your polling location is at based on your address, click here.

One last thing, semi election-related:
Tomorrow night come join us to hear our wonderful Lieutenant Governor Janice McGeachin make an announcement at Candlelight Christian Fellowship at 5:30pm. Doors open at 5pm and I’m hearing it’s going to be PACKED so definitely get there early.

Also, this Saturday is the LAST 2021 Legislative Town Hall and it will be also held at Candlelight at 10:00am. That’s another one that should be packed so get there early. Come hear our legislators give there opinions about how this legislative session went, and the audience will actually be able to ask live questions so we can all hear exactly why Paul Amador wants to bring critical race theory curriculum into the state of Idaho through a $6M education grant. (Amador has also announced that he’s going to be running for Senate next time so he’ll have some explaining to do.) I have a feeling it’s going to be fun.

I look forward to watching the voting results come in throughout the evening and I’ll speak with you all tomorrow!
