SUNDAY . MAY 23 . 4pm-5:30pm

After months of waiting, we're excited to offer an in-person Messy Church on Sunday, May 23 from 4pm-5:30pm. May's theme is "Stand Up for Jesus!" based on scripture from Daniel 3. Join us for praise and worship, an obstacle course, tug-of-war, s'mores and crafts. This is a fun and interactive way to creatively grow in Christ together.

Please check out a baby bottle and leave your name and contact information. Return filled bottles by Sunday, June 20th.  You can also donate online here: CABARRUS WOMEN'S CENTER

We are thrilled to be offering a handmade quilt by Jewell Parker as part of a UMW fundraiser. For every donation that is made to Epworth UMW (including the Call to Prayer and Self Denial or World Thank Offering programs), general donations or donations that are made to one of our sponsored campaigns or local missions, the donor's name will be entered into the drawing. The winning name will be drawn and announced on Sunday, Nov 14.

THANK YOU TO EPWORTH’S CONGREGATION!  I just wanted to say a special “thank you” to the congregation of Epworth for all their support of The Flock Preschool and Epworth’s Learning Center during the 2020/2021 school year.  Your prayers and encouragement have meant so much to me and the entire staff.

The ministries that we offered beginning in August of 2020 touched the lives of over 160 children and their families.  Many families have sent notes and talked with me personally to let me know how much they appreciated the fact that the preschool was open and that we offered the learning center.  God did such amazing things over the year, even amongst the new procedures and guidelines we needed to follow due to the pandemic.

This Thursday, we will be having lots of celebrations and giving thanks to God for all that He has done.  Please be praying for all our children, families, and staff as we close out this truly amazing school year.

- Mrs. Teresa

As part of their commitment, CCC summer staff are required to raise half of their salaries. If you'd like to financially support these young men they have an online donation link set up through Carolina Cross Connection.

Dr. Glenn Myers served as pastor at Epworth from 2007-2013. His wife, Susan, has extended an invitation to invite us to help celebrate his well-deserved retirement in a couple of ways.

  • A video is being put together for Glenn with well-wishes from congregations and friends across his career.  The following is a message from his son, Jason Myers:

We are creating a video montage (or "Tribute") for Glenn Myers, who is retiring from full-time ministry on Sunday, June 27th, 2021. It will only take you a minute to film and submit your video, and it's easy to create on your mobile device or computer. It should make for an unforgettable and encouraging gift, that shares our collective love and appreciation. Thanks so much for being a part of this!

Sincerely,
Susan, Jason, and Robert Myers

Our thanks to all members of our Epworth family for their beautiful words of kindness, love, condolences, faith and encouragement following the passing of our son, Michael (Mike) Nimmo.  He entered Life Eternal into the Church Triumphant after a long battle with cancer in mid-April. Our whole family took part in the private funeral service held in our home with Pastor Sonny officiating. Your prayers were greatly appreciated.

Stay safe, be well,
Ed & Bonnie Nimmo and family.

Our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Cyndi Martin who passed away in February. Cyndi was a friend of Glenda Baker.

We also offer our prayers and sympathies to the family of Jack Mauer who passed away recently. He was part of Bob Carruth's extended family.
