We are excited to announce the addition of the West Lakes Market Street district to the Orlando Main Streets program! West Lakes Market Street was approved on Monday by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Orlando City Council, and as such, will now receive training, technical assistance, access to funding, and beautification projects to help their businesses succeed.

The creation of the market street supports the City of Orlando’s efforts to create a more equitable community by focusing on economic development initiatives that help Black-owned small businesses thrive.
The City of Orlando will provide the West Lakes Market Street with $90,000 over the next year and a half, allowing the district to hire an executive director who will work to create initiatives, marketing campaigns, and events to bring more customers to the area’s small businesses and launch beautification projects.

The West Lakes Market Street organization will work to strengthen our commercial areas within our neighborhoods. West Lakes Partnership and our HOAs will continue to focus on improving the residential areas of the neighborhood. We look forward to working with our new partner!
