Last Sunday we worshipped for the last time with Rachel Helton, who has completed her seminary coursework for this year. As she reflected on Jesus' prayer for his disciples and Isaiah's words of hope for the returning exiles, Rachel made connections with the "new things" that God has done this past year at Shepherd of the Hills. Holy Communion

During our worship service we celebrate Holy Communion from our own homes. You are invited to prepare for this by having a small piece of bread or cracker, as well as juice, wine, or water with you as worship begins. Please contact Pastor Kristen if you have any questions.

May 16 Outdoor Gathering and Send-off for Rachel

Thanks to everyone who came out last Sunday to enjoy conversation and cookies before the rain came! We also took time to say a farewell blessing for Rachel Helton as she concluded her contextual education year with us.

During the second week of May, the St. Louis County COVID data reached the threshold for indoor worship as approved by the SOTH Church Council, and has consistently maintained that level. Therefore, on Sunday, May 16, the church council approved a return to in-person worship starting Sunday, June 6, 2021. Additional details regarding the return to in-person worship are coming soon; Please stay tuned.

SOTH Bible Study

The Wednesday morning Bible Study began a study of the Book of James on Wednesday, May 19. Newcomers are welcome to join at any time. Contact Karen Scherer or Pastor Kristen for the Zoom link.
