Hello! It’s been a while.

Thank you to those of you who have subscribed to my newsletter recently and to everyone who has been patiently awaiting the next installment.

One of my favorite recent finishes is my Sunset All About Angles mini quilt. This was the first sample I pieced for what became my All About Angles workshop. For whatever reason I had never quilted it and decided during my 100 days of free motion quilting to spend over 8 hours quilting the mini quilt.

Did you know I have a monthly linkup on my blog? It’s part challenge, if you would like to make a new project or finish up something in progress, and part show and tell, to share older finished projects. This month I’m asking for you to Show Me Something Outdoors! Two weeks left. Plenty of time! :-)

I’m enjoying connecting with quilt guilds on Zoom. In addition to my Rules and Options of Planned Improv Piecing lecture, I’ve added two additional lectures as well as a lecture/demo of my Creating a Scrappy Slab workshop. (So the whole guild can learn!)

Top Priority

These improv pieced units are all up my design wall at the moment. First I’ll need to decide on a layout. Then I’ll be flying by the seat of my pants to puzzle them all together. I imagine it will take a while and I’ll work on some other projects as a break. I’d hoped to get the quilt top finished by tomorrow, but the current heat wave is zapping my energy. I hope to have a finished quilt top to share in my next newsletter.
