The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has been the recognized authority on the various levels of automobile driving autonomy. They recently updated the six level definitions to make it easier for the public to understand the differences.

Velodyne and Bluecity have announced a powerful combination of lidar sensors and AI software to monitor traffic networks and public spaces. The real-time data analytics will lead to improved traffic and crowd flows, while increasing safety and reducing pollution.
