This month, as we recognize the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States, we celebrate the Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who help make up the cultural fabric of our Southpoint SDA Church family. We are especially blessed to have our sister congregation of Myanmar members back, meeting each Sabbath afternoon here at Southpoint.
Please save July 24 on your calendar as we celebrate ALL the various nationalities represented at Southpoint on our Annual International Day! More details will follow, but the day will include outdoor worship, an international concert and food festival.

Sabbath School begins promptly at 10:30am and divine worship service begins at 11:30am. We look forward to seeing our church family! If you cannot join us in person, we stream online every Sabbath and you can join us there. Either way, we look forward to worshipping with you this Sabbath.
SUNSET
The Sabbath is God’s perpetual sign of His eternal covenant between Him and His people. Joyful observance of this holy time from evening to evening, sunset to sunset, is a celebration of God’s creative and redemptive acts.

ADULT SABBATH SCHOOL
Join us each Sabbath morning at 10:30am in the sanctuary or online as we practice "the Church at study." This quarter, we continue looking more closely at what God’s covenant is, what it offers, even what it demands. If you don't have a Bible Study Guide for second quarter 2021, you can pick one up this Sabbath in the church lobby or study online. This Sabbath, we will review Lesson 8, "Covenant Law."

SICK & SHUT IN
Praise God, our church secretary, Chris Drechsler, made it through her surgery with no major problems. She is home resting now but will not be able to talk for five days following the surgery, so please, if you absolutely have to reach out to her, please text her.
If you know of a member who is shut-in and needs some cheering up, please send us their name and phone number and with their permission, we will list their name and contact information so that we all can reach out to them. Let's shower them with love this upcoming week and let them know just how much we miss them, and pray for God's healing hand.

OUR CONDOLENCES
We continue to pray for the Nestor and Sando families who both lost loved ones.
Sometimes the hardest part of the grieving process is after the funeral/memorial service is over, the flowers and gifts stop coming and everyone has gone home. It's in those quiet moments that grief can take over as you try to find some "normalcy" in your life. How can life possibly be normal, now that your loved one is no longer with you?
When a loved one dies, you might be faced with grief over your loss again and again — sometimes even years later. Feelings of grief might return on the anniversary of your loved one's death or other special days throughout the year.
These feelings, sometimes called an anniversary reaction, aren't necessarily a setback in the grieving process. They're a reflection that your loved one's life was important to you. There's no time limit for grief, and anniversary reactions can leave you reeling. Still, the intensity of grief tends to lessen with time.
If you have lost a loved one, know that your Southpoint family loves and cares about you. Our pastor, elders and prayer team want you to know they are here to pray with and for you. And know that God sees and hears you when you cry and is here to comfort you. "Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal."

SOUTHPOINT FAMILY CAMP 2021
September 10-12 will be here before you know it! Are you planning on going to our Family Camp at Kulaqua this year? If so, you can pay a non-refundable $50 deposit To hold your accommodations. Please place your deposit and/or payment in a tithe envelope and give to Chris Drechsler so she can record your payment. We ask that you make payments as often as possible as the full payment is due by August 1st. There are 3 chalets and 2 rooms in the lodge available to reserve and prices are for the whole weekend. FOOD PANTRY
