  • Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Re-released RFA
    • Cancer Prevention and Early Detection RFA will be re-released for the Health Navigation and Clinical Services Strategy only.
    • Current Cancer Prevention and Early Detection grantees do not need to apply.
    • The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will re-release the Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Request for Applications (RFA) with a narrower focus on only the Health Navigation and Clinical Services Strategy (also known as the Women’s Wellness Connection). Applications for the Targeted Community Outreach (TCO) and Clinic Quality Improvement (CQI) strategies are not being accepted at this time.
    • It is estimated that CDPHE will re-release the Cancer Prevention and Early Detection RFA in June 2021 for funding starting in the fall or winter of 2021/2022. Only organizations that provide basic breast and cervical cancer screenings at their locations are eligible to apply.
    • The Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Program’s Health Navigation component of the Health Navigation and Clinical Services Strategy funds navigation of eligible, low-income women into timely and complete breast and cervical cancer screening services and reduces disparities by helping them overcome barriers. The Clinical Services component of the strategy funds breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic procedures for eligible low-income, uninsured or underinsured women and reduces disparities by reducing out-of-pocket costs of screening for eligible low-income, uninsured or underinsured women.
    • Details for the RFA will be posted on the Cancer Prevention Funding Opportunities webpage. If you would like to be added to the distribution list to receive an email when the RFA is released, please open this contact form and enter your information:
