As the school year comes to an end, schools, districts, and community organizations are once again preparing to serve free meals for kids at sites across North Carolina all summer long. Whether you're operating a site of your own or just want to help spread the word, find great resources below!
Are you ready to help spread the word about free summer meals for kids and teens in your community this summer?
No Kid Hungry developed a summer meals outreach toolkit that makes getting the word out easy. It includes social media graphics and posts, website copy, template letters and flyers, and more. Thank you for your help in making sure kids and families stay healthy this summer!
The NC Department of Public Instruction has created NEW mapping tools for summer meals. These are powerful resources for connecting families to meals, and helping meal providers find ways to expand and refine their work.
The Site Finder Map is designed to help families locate the sites nearest them with free meals for kids.
The Capacity Builder Map is designed to help sponsors (SFSP & SSO) evaluate previous years’ service and plan effectively for the future.
