Sips & Stanzas Presents: The Iconic Visionary, Art Kane
Art Kane (1925-1995) was one of the most influential photographers of the 20th century. A bold visionary, his work encompassed fashion, editorial, celebrity portraiture, travel, and more. Kane was pioneer of numerous concepts in modern photography, and deeply interested in what could happen next, how to evolve, to change, to do it better, and to accept nothing less than brilliance. Kane's contributions to the medium of photography resonate throughout the industry today.

On Thursday, May 20, NMAAM's
Sips & Stanzas series welcomes Jonathan Kane, Art Kane's son, for a presentation and discussion about his father's life, legacy, and work, including the book, 'Art Kane: Harlem 1958.' Tune in on Facebook at 5:30PM CDT/6:30PM EDT for this in-depth conversation.
