Friday 21st May 2021
Dear families,
Today has been our Day of Many Colours...
Our classes have been learning about resilience and the wonder of us all. It was great to see so many children celebrating the fact that we are all unique, all different and all the same inside!
|
|
Reading
Well done to the children who have logged onto Oxford Owl to enjoy their reading books.
Remember there are Bronze/Silver/Gold Awards for each stage of reading.
|
|
Social Media
Please help us to help all the children learn!
Please read the following letter and take action!
|
|
Swimming
Year 6 will continue to swim during the second half of the summer term - Please remember your kit after half term!
|
|
Reminder: Birthday Cake etc.
Parents are politely reminded about not bringing cakes and sweets in for us to give out for birthdays. There have been a few requests recently, which we have had to refuse.
Due to allergies and food hygiene regulations, we are NOT allowed to hand out cake, sweets, or other items to celebrate birthdays. This has been our policy for a long time, and it is currently even more important with Covid-19 regulations.
Please do not bring such items in to school!

Collective Worship
Thank you, Year 4, Class 9 for leading our Collective Worship this week.
Your theme of Building Bridges and reconciliation was the best way to end the term.
Thank you

First Holy Communions
All information about communions will be distributed by parishes so it would be helpful if families attended mass within their parish to receive the correct dates and information.
The current Year 4 will hopefully make their First Holy Communion in Autumn 2021 when they are in Year 5.
The current Year 3 will hopefully complete their First Holy Communion in the Summer 2022 when they are in Year 4.

Pope Francis sends us inspiration via his tweets.
Our favourite one this week is....

If your child needs to be off school for reasons other than illness you must make a request using the following form. School will decide if the request will be authorised and send you a letter.
Any pupil having an absence without making a request will be classed as unauthorised – so it’s really important that you inform us!
|
|
The best attenders this week are...
Class 5 - Mrs Canavan = 100%
Class 6 - Mrs Elliott = 99.05%
All of these classes were above our school target of 97%
This is Brilliant - Keep Up The Good Work!
Come on every other class... let's get your class on the leader board by being above 97% next week!

Attendance - Reporting Absences
|
|
|
Reporting ALL absences is even more important at the moment. This helps us to keep the building Covid-19 secure.
Parents please make sure you follow our procedures, so we don't have to isolate any bubbles.
Please telephone school on 0151 477 8400 on the first day of absence. You can also send an email to Admin@smaaa.info
Tell our admin staff the reason for the absence, and when you expect your child to return to school.
All unexplained absences will be looked at by our Attendance Lead, & possibly the School Attendance Service, so it's really important that you report all absences by 10am on the first day of absence!
Remember if your child is off school due to illness, hospital or dental appointments, you must also send an email with a copy of the medical letter / proof to Admin@smaaa.info
We cannot authorise any absence without proof!

|

Bringing Items Into School.
Can we please remind parents and children that items from home (Such as Teddy Bears, Toys, Stationery, Fidget Spinners etc.) should not be brought into school.
We must keep the building COVID-19 secure, to keep all our families safe!
|
|
Remember:
If anyone in a household is sick or showing signs of illness;
nobody from the household should come near school.
If someone is waiting for a Covid-19 test result
the whole household should not come near school!
If anyone in household has a cough, temperature, or loss of smell,
then a PCR test is needed, at a test centre, lateral flow tests cannot be used!
We do not want anyone put at risk!

|
|
