The Rohingya Refugee Fire Victims Still Need Your Help!
Thank you!

The HAEFA team would like to thank each and every one of you who have donated to our efforts to provide healthcare and other supporting services to the people who survived the devastating fire that ravaged four Rohingya refugee camps in Balukhali, a village in Cox’s Bazar district of Bangladesh.

Due to the tremendous support and the continued need for the injured and displaced victims, we have increased our fundraising goal to $20,000. With your help, we can definitely get there!
Please Join in Supporting the Victims by Donating!

GoFundMe donations will go toward:

  • Hiring additional medical support staff (2 new physicians, 2 nurses and 3 health workers) to provide aid.

  • Providing medical supplies.

  • Food and water for those impacted.

  • Repairs and construction of destroyed homes.

COVID-19 Food Assistance Program

During the last one year, due to COVID-19 related lockdowns and joblessness, an additional 24.5 million people went below the poverty line in Bangladesh. Many families are starving this Ramadan. So far HAEFA has has provided the following:

  • Food packages (enough for a 5-member family for two weeks) to 100 families  in Dhaka and other districts of Bangladesh on Sunday, May 2nd. The food packages are going to jobless housemaids and rickshaw pullers impacted during the ongoing lockdown due to the upsurge in cases of COVID-19.

Each food package costs $12.50 to create. If your friends, colleagues, and families would like to donate or send Zakat, please encourage them to donate to HAEFA. We are aiming to provide food packages to additional 1,000 families in need before and after Eid.
