Ignite Summer Breakout is a great opportunity for students to grow together! This in-town retreat will include worship, service, prayer, games, day trips, and opportunities to learn together.
ISM will be held at Camp Lee. We will spend the first three days leading a program called "Parables in the Park." This will be a lot like a traditional VBS with an emphasis on God's grace through the parables. This will be a partnership with the YMCA and will be held in Zinn Park. We will do team building activities at Camp and take a few day trips in the afternoons those days, and we will travel to Montgomery on Thursday.
We will travel to Montgomery with our Church and Society group, a group who focuses on the way our congregation thinks through social issues. We will tour the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum. Students will learn about our legacy of racial violence and the ways we are currently carrying on the conversations about social justice. This will be a part of the week's emphasis on cultivating faith that makes a difference in our everyday lives.
Our last day will be a trip to a water park in Alabama. With all our programming, hiring a speaker and worship leader for the night lessons, and our lodging at Camp Lee, this trip is $200 per student, but there are plenty of scholarship opportunities available for a free or reduced registration. Do not hesitate to ask about these – as money should never be the reason a student misses out on a youth trip.
This will be a busy, fun, and fulfilling week. I am certain I will need your help making this event the success that our students deserve for it to be. That starts with signing up your kids and telling other parents about it. I am beyond excited for this trip, and I am happy to discuss it with you at any time!

You can deposit funds with the memo – "Ignite Student Breakout – student's name." Deposits must be made by check or cash.
Additionally, students can earn a $10 Amazon giftcard by having a friend of theirs signup to come with them. Students can earn a gift card for up to two unrelated friends.
