NSF STEM for All Video Showcase

The Louis Stokes Midwest Regional Center of Excellence (LSMRCE) partnered with ten LSAMP Alliances (IINSPIRE, ILSAMP, INLSAMP, KY-WV LSAMP, MoLSAMP, Ohio LSAMP, OK-LSAMP, Puma STEM LSAMP, Southwest Georgia LSAMP, and WiscAMP) to develop the 10-week Summer Speaker Series in 2020. Our video submission highlights how this virtual learning community was developed and the impacts on both students and alliances.

Spend this weekend with UC Berkeley’s NSF LSAMP program by virtually exploring Data Science through our Cal NERDS STEMinist Intro to Data Science boot camp. It is designed to help non-dominant STEM students gain exposure to the field of data science and computational skills that empower our students’ STEM trajectories. 6th Annual Nuclear Science Summer School (NS3) for Undergraduates

Michigan State University will be hosting the 6th Nuclear Science Summer School (NS3) on August 2-6, 2021. The school will be held virtually. NS3 is a summer school for undergraduate students that aims to introduce the participants to the fields of nuclear science and nuclear astrophysics. UT Austin Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunity 

The Pediatric Coping and Language Lab (PCL) at the University of Texas at Austin is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to start as early as summer 2021. The postdoctoral fellow will work on an NIH-funded randomized controlled trial to test the effects of a family-based behavioral intervention for Latinx families of children with asthma. The primary activities of the postdoctoral fellow will be training and providing supervision to the community health workers who deliver the intervention, intervention fidelity monitoring and coding, data analysis, and dissemination of findings.
