Visiting Scholar This Sunday!

Registration is still open for our next Visiting Scholar program with Rev. Wesley Granberg-Michaelson on May 16. Wes will be preaching in our 10:00 Sunday morning service followed by a Zoom presentation from 1-3 p.m.* Our day with Wes will climax with his participation in the 6:00 p.m. Worship on Zoom.

*Register Here for the 1 p.m. program (no registration needed for the worship services). Many of us are reading his latest book, Without Oars, but this is not a requirement for full participation in the afternoon workshop. You can find out more about him, view the day's schedule, and register at plymouthucc.org/visitingscholar. You won’t want to miss the blessing of this opportunity.

Stewardship Reflection
We live in a world in which there is increased social unrest and division. We need to reverse the cynicism that's within local body politics. John Klaphake reminds us that the politics of stewardship must be based on the "we," not us and them. The politics of stewardship must be based upon a "win-win-win" scenario. - Ross Lane

GETTING INTO ZOOM

Attending a Zoom gathering: All Zoom events (other than the 6pm Sunday service and Sunday Forum) will receive an email Invitation. Click on the link in the invitation, and it will take you to the waiting room (password is embedded in the link), where you stay until the Host admits you to the main room. After the host Admits you,* there is about a 10-15 second delay, so hang tight.

*Note: if your screen name defaults to something like "grandma's iPad," please update your name, so the host knows who you are.

Scheduling a Zoom Room: Request scheduling using the same form on the church website you used to use to schedule a physical room, but choose Zoom as your "room." You will receive a reply with your meeting link, which you then email to your group members.
