Thank you for another great rehearsal last week. We did some small group ‘mini lessons’ while some of the older choristers led the larger group. Thank you to Sophie, Rose, and Isabella for being our fearless leaders! We will do this again next rehearsal.
We have decided to focus on two of the songs we are working on:
When I Grow Up (Matilda)
I Have a Voice
For I Have a Voice, I will be assigning solos sometime this week. If you are interested please let me know asap! We would like to record this in the ‘traditional’ way; so video and audio recording if possible. If you haven’t been part of a recording yet and would like more information, please get in touch with me!
For When I Grow Up, we will be recording audio only (which is much easier!). The video component will be our choristers playing outside. It can be playing on a swing or playground, doing cartwheels, eating candy or ice cream, jump rope - anything that evokes a sense of play and children enjoying themselves! So, please start taking some short videos of your chorister ‘playing’ or eating sweets!
I would like to finish our recordings by May 31st so that we can have a party / talent show / game night on our final rehearsal of June 1st.
We only have 4 more rehearsals left! Time flies!
