Supporting Faculty in the Vanguard of Community- Engaged Teaching & Learning

Wednesday, May 19th, 1:00-2:00 PM (EST)

As part of Maine Campus Compact's Campuses for Environmental Stewardship 2021 Summit, we are bringing together New England higher education leaders to discuss how campuses can play a leadership role in prioritizing and addressing critical issues like climate change and food insecurity.

During this online discussion, we will review the benefits of integrating local, national and global issues of importance into courses; acknowledge barriers for faculty to integrate community-engaged teaching into their curriculum; identify ways campuses can better support faculty; and highlight how campuses are institutionalizing community-engagement across New England.
