The ACP Board of Directors has a new member!!!

Dave Elder has joined the ACP Board!  Yes, that makes three members from the Kawartha Woodturners Guild (KWG) but since the President only votes if there is a tie, Dave will be there to make sure there are always two KWG votes.

Dave has been a member of the KWG for the past 5 years and is currently the Member Chairperson on their Board.  His creative focus to-date has been primarily on turning pens.  He learned about the ACP and the classes offered there after joining the KWG.  While he has been in Canada since 1966, it's not hard to figure out that he is from Scotland when he speaks.  He retired about 11 years ago after a 25 year career in Procurement, having received his Professional Purchaser Certification in 1977.  While working he also taught night school at Sheridan and Humber Colleges and invigilated for the National Certification Exam team for about 7 years.  He is also a Cancer survivor and served 12 years in the Army Reserve in Peterborough.  I hope we'll be able to keep you busy enough at the ACP!
Welcome to the ACP Board Dave.  I'm sure you will be a great addition to the group.  Thank you for volunteering for this position.
Canada Summer Jobs

As well, the youth will work with instructors to prepare and implement classes, workshops and events for children, youth, families and seniors. This job has been posted  as a Leisure Administrator on  https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/jobsearch/jobpostingcsj/34338647?source=searchresults.
